International Women's Day with Wines of Great Britain

Women in Wine LDN collaborated with Wines of Great Britain for a series of Instagram Live interviews for International Women's Day 2021.

The week-long campaign starting on 8th March shone a light on the career paths of some of the industry's most exceptional women. As well as featuring those who are working in viticulture and winemaking, the series featured those who have founded successful wine businesses, and who work in retail, hospitality, and social media.

WIW London's Regine Lee spoke with Tamara Roberts, CEO of Ridgeview Wine Estates. We heard about Tamara's fascinating experience growing Ridgeview from one of the first English wineries in a nascent industry to an internationally-exported, renowned sparkling wine producer.

Hannah Van Susteren interviewed Rebecca Gibb MW, an award-winning wine journalist, editor and author of The Wines of New Zealand. They spoke about the changing media landscape and the evolution of wine writing.

Driving the series, Wines of Great Britain's Julia Trustram-Eve (Marketing Director) and Joana Albogas (Digital Media Officer) interviewed a wide range of speakers and covered many topics in the wine industry including: diversity, communication, buying, winemaking and viticulture.
