Join us for an exciting panel at London Cru discussion on the current and future picture of the English Wine Industry. We are pleased to have three industry experts and will be covering all things production, export and budget. 

Laura Rhys, Gusbourne Estate

Laura’s career in winestarted as a Sommelier in 2004. The early years were spent alongside the industry’s finest, including World Sommelier Champion Gérard Basset MS, MW.
In 2009 Laura won the prestigious “UK Sommelier of the Year" title and in 2010 achieved Master Sommelier status from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Laura joined Gusbourne in 2015, as Prestige Development Manager, where her role encompasses ambassadorial and development duties both in UK and internationally. 

Emma Rice, Hattingley Valley Estate

Head Winemaker and Director of Hattingley Valley Wines Emma Rice is the current UKVA Winemaker of the Year having also won the title in 2014. One of the first graduates of the BSc Viticulture & Oenology at Plumpton College, she has been involved with Hattingley since it was first established in 2008, following work experience in California and Australia. Her role at Hattingley encompasses overseeing the 22ha of vineyards, the winemaking process and representing Hattingley in the domestic and international markets.

Rebekah Kenderick, Wine and Spirits Trade Association

Rebekah is responsible for WSTA Parliamentary Affairs, with previous experience working in Westminster and on drinks industry campaigns. Her current role includes managing engagement with UK parliamentarians and raising awareness of the industry, acting as secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Wine & Spirits Group, monitoring parliamentary activity, and keeping WSTA members informed and involved. She also runs the WSTA Public Affairs Network.

We are incredibly fortunate to be hosted by London Cru, the only winery in London.
